The devil says:
How can an educated person be proud to be guided by an illiterate person?
The illiterate prophet means the prophet who is not Israeli not the one who cannot read or write. Muhammad knew how to read and write.
The repelling of the 9th libel:
This libel can be answered with two points of view:
1- Prophet Muhammad PBUH was born and brought up in Mecca. Then he immigrated to Medina It is well known historically that all the Arabs were illiterate people. Not a single library was historically proved to be found in Mecca or in Medina. Revising the era between the first and the sixth centuries we will find that scientific, thinking and philosophical movements flourished as a whole only in Constantinea, Alexandria, Rome, and Antakia. Had the Prophet been brought up in one of those cities, those liars would have a reason to think that he was educated. But it is very well known that he didn't see any of these cities.
2- The Prophet was not educated which was proved by history. The Jewish habits to call all those who are not Jewish illiterate don't mean that the Arabs or Muhammad were educated.
3- Prophet Muhammad was not educated or in need of education. People basically need education to translate, study, learn, or express them selves. He didn't need all that because he got knowledge from the Revelation; the main source of Divine knowledge.
When The Holy Spirit came to him and said "Read" and he answered him "I can't read". He directed him to the fact that he will read the genuine knowledge of the Creator. Such knowledge does not need papers or ink, or Alphabets. He told him that he will actually read in the name and the wish of his God who created every thing.
4- The illiteracy of Prophet Muhammad PBUH was different from all human beings. The ordinary illiterate man cannot express or receive information. Prophet Muhammad was able to do all that. The source of his knowledge was the Revelation.
5- The Prophet's illiteracy was one of his miracles. For, how could an illiterate man make up such a great book like Qur'an with all its wonders such as:
1* It challenged both Men and Jennies to make up a verse like its verses. The enemies of Islam kept trying to do that for 14 centuries, but they failed. They then tried to make libels and criticize it using the help of linguistics, socialists and psychiatrists and failed again. Qur'an kept perfect and fort in the face of all the challenges and libels. It kept its places in the hearts of the millions. It is actually the most learnt by heart of all the holy books. Each one of its letters has a certain meaning and a unique usage.
2* this holy book is the source of legislation in religion, behaviors, marriage, divorces, and worshipping. It is the referral for history books, explanation books, manners guiding books, and mysticism books. It gives information of the scientific miracles and wonders with its various branches.
3* the scientific hints and facts in Qur'an could not possibly be known to any human being at the time of its revelation, such as; embryology, astronomy, cosmology, and other scientific branches.
6- There are Qur'anic verses and scripts that repel this libel off, like:
"We know that they will say he was taught the Qur'an. That is wrong because those who they think taught you speak foreign languages, while Qur'an is in fluent clear Arabic"
"And We revealed the Book to you. Those to whom We sent holy books will believe in it. And some of your people believe in it. Only pagans will not believe in Qur'an. Before the Revelation you were not reading any books or writing any scripts. If you did the doubtful would take it as a proof of being made up. These are clear verses in the hearts of people of knowledge and good believers. Only unjust persons would deny Our miracles"
7- Some of the unbelievers would stick to such an event as when the Prophet was dying and he said "Give me some thing to write to you a book that will protect you from going astray………."
This does not mean that he would actually write his will. It means that he would like to dictate others to write what he says like in AlHudaybia Treaty when Ali was writing was the Prophet was dictating him.
